Welcome to Rhyse's Toy Australian Shepherds home.
With all of the concern about puppy mills (and rightfully so) I wanted to welcome everyone to my facility.
We are licensed with the State of Georgia Department - Agriculture License # P10-0099.
For the safety and well being of any pet that you purchase, make sure the breeder is licensed by the state they are in. Licensed breeders
are inspected by the Dept. of Agriculture twice a year. I value their time and energy ensuring that dogs have a well balanced environment.
I am very proud of my healthy, happy adult dogs here. Happy and healthy parents produce, well rounded, happy, smart, & beautiful puppies.
There are four sections with the kids playing together according to size. There is a total of 2 acres with access to heated and
air-conditioned 12x10, 12x12, and 12x20 sheds through doggie doors. They enjoy all the play time they want with each other
and various toys and obstacles.
I feed Bil-Jac dog food & worm monthly with Intercepter. I have never had a flea problem due to the fact that I treat the
environment for pests. I also use Vectra spot on control during the summer months for additional flea control.
In this whelping area is Boots and her pups. She has an area away
from babies where she can see them but have some time away while they
are napping.
This is Zoey, my T-cup, with her only pup in her whelping area
All mothers are provided air-conditioning keep at a
constant 80-85 degree temp. with plenty of fresh water and puppy
chow. Behind Boots you see her doggie door where she can go for
exercise and to eliminate.
This is the porch and exercise area for mom. She takes turns with
the mother in the other side for full yard play time. Mothers can
become very short tempered when they have children, so interaction
with others is limited until they are secure that their children are
safe!
This is the nursery and whelping area. I do my own fecal checks to
insure the health of my dogs on a regular basis with a follow up from
my wonderful Vet, Dr. Sojberg. I weigh each pup to ensure proper
growth. On top of the scale you can see a American stock dog
regulation wicket to measure adult heights. Most importantly on the
refrigerator is the cookie jar full of Bil-Jac dog treats, and biscuits!
These are Rita/ Chip pups. As they are naturally weaned from mom (I
let mom do this on her own). I have a 10x10 exercise pen outside of
the doggie door leading into a puppy pen. This teaches the youngsters
to go outside to eliminate, play and drink. Then they come inside
where it is cool to sleep and eat. The porch with the ramp really
helps with coordination and is a great start for agility prospects.
You can see the doggie door in the back of the puppy pen leading into
the yard. At no time are the pups locked in this pen without access
to the 10x10 covered yard area. This really helps them to become
housebroken more quickly in their new homes.
There are four sections leading into the climate controlled sheds
via doggie doors. Each section has a pen and a ramp with a porch
leading up to there inside area.
This is Chip and Rita relaxing in the shade of there fort and outside dog house
This is Abby in the top of the fort chasing a cricket, after releasing the water bottle in the back ground she took from me!
This is Chip after jumping the jump in his yard area and Rita thinking about her approach!
This is Tinkerbell and Bunny two merle girls that are Boots/Tinkers offspring. Cooper is a blue eyed tri that will be their breeding partner
These are some of the T-cups Bambam, Pheobe and Nettie.
Here comes Peanut a small red merle toy female in the next section.
No you are not seeing things, that is a red poodle. Pebbles is a
four pound merle aussie and I am breeding her to a AKC registered 3.8
pound t-cup poodle for, yes, Aussiedoodles!
